Company History

Initially established as Janghang Smelter in 1936, LS MnM has grown into a world-class metals/materials company.
Here are some of the milestones we have accomplished on the way.

In 1982, Korea Mining & Smelting Co., Ltd. and Onsan Copper Smelting Co., Ltd. merged and were incorporated into LG Group, marking a turning point for Korea's non-ferrous smelting industry. Since then, the company polished its capabilities by expanding its area of business and through a series of innovative initiatives in management. In 1995, the company name was changed to LG Metal.
